The 25-year old Austrians Adrian Held and Tobias Rieser’s breakthrough track had 22 million views on Youtube. Before the duo formed, the name "Klangkarussell" referred only to Tobias Rieser's solo work. Adrian Held produced electronic music at the same time under the moniker I herald.
The two artists produced their first songs together under the name Heldenklang. They began using the name Klangkarussell soon after to refer to their collaboration. Their debut single ‘Sonnentanz’ came out in June 2012.
