  • Ryan Cabrera was born on 18 July 1982 in Dallas, Texas. When he was 15, Ryan bought himself a guitar to nourish his love for music. Cabrera wrote his first song almost immediately and joined the band CAIN, which was formed by his friends. Ryan was the back vocalist and guitarist.

Very soon, Ryan realized that playing in local bands wasn’t enough for him. While working with numerous groups, the singer was dreaming about a solo career and popularity. When Cabrera was working with the band Rubix Groove, he recorded three singles. The manager of the studio, where the band was working, heard the songs and allows the young man to record his first solo LP for free. The album came out in 2001. Ryan named it Elm St.

After the release of the album, Cabrera signed a contract with Atlantic Records. He immediately started working on the second album, which was later released under the name of Take It All Away. The first single from the LP, “On the Way Down", came out in 2004. It appeared on one of the local radio stations. The song was very popular. It reached the 15th spot on Billboard Hot 100. The second LP came out in 2004 and sold over 66,000 copies in the first week. The album reached the 8th spot on Billboard 200 and earned two platinum certifications. The LP was produced by John Rzeznik. The singles, “True” and “40 Kinds of Sadness”, featured in the album became hits. A little later, Ryan helped Florence and the Machine record their album Live at the Wiltern. He performed several songs from Take It All Away.

The singer earned a number of awards for the best singer, best voice, and best debut. Ryan collected an army of fans thanks to his effective live performances. Many organizers wanted to book Ryan Cabrera for numerous events. Ryan presented his third LP, You Stand Watching, in 2005. At that time, he was dating Ashlee Simpson, who inspired him to write several songs for the album. Some of the tracks were recorded together with Andrew Ripp. The LP reached the 24th spot on Billboard 200. More than 37,000 copies were sold in the first week. Later, the album earned a gold certification.

In 2006, Ryan recorded a single, “I Will Remember You”. The song was used in the popular sitcom Will & Grace and a TV project You Think You Can Dance. Later, the singer re-released the single and made it part of his next album. The LP The Moon Under Water came out in 2008 under the label Frolic Room Records / Papa Joe Records. It featured such popular songs as “Say” and “Enemies”. The LP was less successful than the artist’s previous work. It barely made it into Billboard 200 and settled on the 177th position.

In July 2002, Ryan recorded a single “Home”. A month later, he presented “I See Love”, which appeared on iTunes and reached the 83rd place in the top-100 list.

In January 2013, the singer went on a tour of USA. In March, he founded an online project Live From Ryan's Living Room. He was joined by other celebrities. Each month, the singer donated a big part of proceeds to charity. In September, Cabrera gave several concerts in the UK and Ireland.

In 2015, Cabrera recorded an EP, Wake Up Beautiful, which didn’t chart. A year later, he recorded a non-album single “Right On The Money”.

In the summer of 2018, Ryan went on another tour of USA. Ryan continues recording new songs. He tours the world and gives live concerts.
